The Ramaiah Institute of Technology, formerly known as the M.S Ramaiah Institute of technology, is a private engineering college located at Bangalore, Karnataka, India. It is an autonomous college. The college was established in the period of 1962. This College has been ranked 64^th place among the top 100 Engineering institutions under the VTU Affiliation across the country as per MHRD, Government of India, 2019.

Eligibility

The minimum eligibility criteria for most under graduation courses are as follows:

1. The candidate must have completed his/her 12^th standard from a recognized board (CBSE, ICSE, CVE, STATE BOARDS etc).
2. The candidate must have completed 12^th/2^nd PUC or any equivalent examination with mathematics and physics as a mandatory subject.
3. The candidate must have an overall of 45% in his 12^th.
4. The candidate must have appeared for exams like COMEDK, UGET, and KCET as eligibility criteria for certain courses.

Ramaiah institute of technology is an approved research centre by Government of Karnataka. 

Eligibility criteria for the research courses ?

The basic eligibility criteria are as follows:

1. The candidate should be over 17 years of age.
2. The candidate should have completed his/her graduation from a recognized board (PUC, CBSE, ICSE, CVE, STATE BOARDS etc).
3. The candidate must have secured a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in all subjects in the qualifying examinations.
4. The eligibility for admission is 45% of marks in the case of certain reserved categories.

Scholarships

The Institute provides scholarship facilities form the candidates have higher marks at the time of admission into the college and also for the marks attain by the candidate after the admission in the institute.

The college provides nearly 5,000 rupees per year as scholarship for the deserving candidates of the basis of their marks and for those who belong to a poor background.

The students admitted into the college via the COMEDK do not have many options for scholarships whereas the candidates who are getting admitted via CET entrance exam and have a good rank in it have many scholarship options.

Ways to Take Admission in Ms Ramaiah Institute of Technology

The different ways available to take management quota admission into MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology as are as follows:

• Counseling:

After attending the counseling session held at the particular place as applied by the candidate, if he/she is allotted to the Ramaiah Institute of Technology then the candidate is expected to carry his/her allotment order and the necessary documents to the university to get admitted.

• Entrance Exams:

There are various numbers of Entrance Exams conducted by the Government and the corresponding State Governments which are accepted by The Ramaiah Institute of Technology for the concerned degrees. The student should not have just cleared it but his/her admission speed may differ according to the rank obtained.

More than 30% of the seats are given on the basis of entrance exams.

Exams like UGET, KCET, COMED-K are accepted by the college in accordance with the courses.

• Direct admission via the management quota:

The college has reserved a certain number of seats for the candidates who do not have a good score in the higher secondary and also for those candidates who have not appeared for any entrance exam that was conducted by the Government.

The candidate may directly approach the administration of the college and try to get a seat under the available number of seats reserved under the management quota, as these seats have higher demand.

Direct Admission via Management Quota in Ms Ramaiah Institute of Technology

The college as a default reserves certain number of seats for the candidates to apply though management quota in MSRIT on the basis of the class 12^th marks.

Since, the demand being high for the engineering courses, most seats reserved under management quota are easily taken by students who are willing to pay the donation as requested by the college.

During the admission the candidate is expected to take the following documents as it is required by the University,

1. The Original and Photocopy of the 10^Th Certificate.
2. The original and Photocopy of the 12^th Certificate.
3. The Affidavit Of Anti Ragging.
4. The Seat Allotment letter in case of admission through the Counseling.
5. Medical Certificate for the Medical Fitness and Color blindness checkup result.
6. Minimum 5 Passport size photographs of the student.
7. Minimum 5 Stamp size photographs of the student.
8. ID Proof of the students and well the parents.
9. The Transfer and Migration Certificate.
