What is Direct Admission?

Engineering colleges in India have set their criteria on the basis of merit list that how much a student should score in his/her 12th exams. If you clear that criteria, you might get directly selected to that particular college.

Few engineering colleges have donation seat quota based on the demand of engineering stream also which we say as Management Quota Seats.

If seats are available and it is under your budget, you have to fill the form and easily get the admission.

How to Get Admission Through Management Quota / Direct Admission in B.E / BTech

There are many private and top engineering colleges in India where you can get admission through management quota/direct admission. Direct admission is categorized into 2 – either by management quota or by meri list criteria.

All top and private engineering colleges have their own application form. Some also have their own entrance exam as well.

Management Quota Seats in Engineering Colleges

All private and top engineering colleges and universities have reserved seats for management quota. Some have doubts about whether taking admission to management quota is legal or not. It is purely legal, 20-30% of seats are reserved for it.

Criteria for Management Quota is to have above 60% in 10th and 12th std. The fee structure for management quota students for the first year is the addition of donations and course fees. And from the second year onwards it’s an only course fee. The donation amount varies from college to college and also it depends on the stream or you can say branch you want to opt. More the trending and result-driven branch more will be the donation. It depends on the rank of the college/university.

Admission in Engineering Colleges on Basis of 12th Marks

Admission in any engineering college/university on basis of 12th marks is purely depending on the merit list. All top and private engineering college and university have their own merit list cutoff along with some more criteria. A student has to fulfill all the criteria to get admission in the engineering college.

If any student is getting admission on the basis of his/her 12th marks or merit list then they just have to pay the course fee, no donation will be there for them.

Make a list of the top and private colleges or universities where you want to take admission on the basis of your 12th marks.
Contact them and check for their cutoff criteria.

Once you fulfill their cutoff criteria, apply for the respective college by filling their admission forms.

If your candidature got selected then you will get the admission in that particular college. And if in case the college authority has put your candidature on the waiting list then it depends if any of the shortlisted students withdraw his/her name or due to any reason don’t take admission.
